Privacy notice

Parsons Green Village is a not-for-profit association in Fulham, London. We run this website to support local businesses and publish a directory of businesses around Parsons Green.

For privacy questions, email info@parsonsgreenvillage.co.uk. We do not publish a company number or a postal address on this website. Please use that email if you need to write to us about your information.

We collect information in these situations:

• Contact form. First name, last name, email address, and your message, so we can read and reply to your enquiry.
• Joining the directory. Your business email address. We email you a link to confirm that address and continue to payment.
• Listing fee. Payment is taken by Stripe. We keep a record of the payment, including the amount, currency, and Stripe reference, so we know the fee was paid and can deal with a refund if one is made. We do not store your card number.
• Business profile. After payment we ask for the business name, category, short description, longer description, address, phone number, email address, website, and photos. We review this before it is published on the directory.
• Admin accounts. Email address and sign-in details for people who manage the site.

The public pages also receive the usual technical details a web server logs, such as the browser type and the pages requested, so the site can be served and kept secure.

• To reply to messages you send us.
• To take a listing fee, confirm your email, and publish a business profile you have asked us to list.
• To review, update, or remove a listing, and to deal with refunds.
• To run the private admin area and protect the site from misuse.

We rely on the steps needed to provide the listing you requested, and on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the site secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We use a small number of providers to run the site:

• Stripe, to take the listing fee.
• Our email provider, to send verification, listing, and contact messages.
• Our hosting and database provider, to store the site, listings, photos, and admin sign-in.

These providers process information for us. Some of them may store it outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, they are required to protect it.

A published business profile, including the contact details you choose to include, is visible to anyone who visits the directory.

We keep a business listing while it is published, and for a period afterwards so we can handle questions, corrections, and refunds. We keep contact messages so we can reply and keep a record of the enquiry. We delete or anonymise information when we no longer need it for those purposes.

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• correct it, or delete it where we do not need to keep it
• limit how we use it, or object to our use of it
• provide a copy of information you gave us, where the law allows
